Dr Heidi Wechtler, Scholar in Management, University of Newcastle, Australia.

She holds a PhD in International HRM from Macquarie University and brings to this work more than a decade of research on leadership, workers in global contexts, and the systems that shape how people experience work. Her leadership research spans both its enabling and its darker dimensions: from how trust and high-performance practices drive innovation and voice, to how toxic leadership distributes psychosocial harm unevenly across organisations. Her work has appeared in outlets including Human Relations, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and she ranks in the top 4% of leadership researchers globally (ScholarGPS).
